Rainbow Rod photographed
6-18-02 with measurements
It
is my hope that this brief examination of a Rainbow Rod photographed here
in central Maine on 6-18-02 will add to the growing body of evidence that
these creatures are not birds, insects or swamp gas ignited by sparks from
Venus. A little humor, perhaps, yet for anyone who has researched the Condon
report or the sightings covered by Project blue book will see that as silly
as it may seem so called educated scientists continue to debunk both UFO and
Rods. Are they more interested in debunking them, than they are in investigating
these phenomenons?
NASA may in fact be in the business of covering up the single greatest discovery
since man walked out of the primeval ooze. What earth shattering discovery
do I allude to? Just the fact that the universe is swarming with life like
some fertile peti dish nurtured the laboratory of a rouge scientist.
I put forth to you that Rainbow Rods are the Rosetta stone of life. When we
unravel the mysteries contained in the Rod enigma we will be well on our way
to understanding how life operates in the universe. We may discover how life
manages to seed other planets and expand throughout the cosmos. Those old
dusty moth eaten textbooks I image will have to be drastically revised.
In mankind’s history all new information has first been met with ridicule,
laughter and outright hostilities. I am sure that Jose Escamilla would agree
that in his attempt to bring this subject to the mainstream scientist he has
been met with some resistance. Due to his diligences the ranks of researches
are swelling, and those ranks are not filled with just scientists carrying
fancy diplomas, no they are filled with true seekers, true scientists, they
are filled with humans hungry for the truth, with minds as bright and questioning
as young children. Remember what the Oz told the Scarecrow, “You are as bright
as any of these educated men, but they have one thing you do not…a diploma!”
I swear some of these “scientists” go into comas once they receive that piece
of paper followed by a fancy job.
The task of bringing this information to the attention of the masses falls
on us, NASA is not going to do it, and the government is not going to do it.
Fact known they are quite happy for us to wallow in our collective ignorance
while they wage war against the very planet itself. Atomic power plants breeding
waste that we have no place to store. Polluting the water we drink and the
air we breathe.
Well I am sure you did not read this far down to continue to hear me rant
and rave so get to the meat of the issue. On June 18-02 I was fortunate enough
to capture this photo of a Rainbow Rod screaming pass my camera at high speed.
A few things I wish you to take note of in this photo. First notice that the
creature appears to pass in front of the maple leaves in the foreground; also
notice that the lower edge of the creature is behind the roof ridge edge line
also in the foreground of the photo. Further note that you can see pollen
particles that are floating behind the object though the body of the creature!
A few seconds after the first photo was captured this creature or one of his
brethren passed behind the maple tree to the upper left of the frame, as shown
here.
Take note here that you can see quite plain that the creature passes well
behind the tree in the foreground. All of this is quite interesting, for with
a bit of time invested measuring you will see that it is impossible
for this creature to be insect.
The magnification used in these photos was about 12X, the distance from the
camera to the maple leaves was 21 feet give or take 6 inches. The roof ridge
that you see at the bottom of the photo was 9 feet from the camera lens as
measured in a straight the distance from the roofline to the ground was 12
feet. The distance from the ground to the maple leaves where the creature
passed was 26 feet.
Going back the next day I photographed the same spot, with the same set up,
magnification, and distance from the roof ridge and obtained photos of an
insect for comparison as show in this still.
Note size of insect in
the center of circle showing the difference between Rainbow Rods and insects
I also had one of my sons hold a tape measure up at a distance of 21 from
the camera (9 feet to the roof ridge plus 14 feet from the roof ridge to the
spot under the maple leaves) and determined that the field of view at that
distance was 20 inches as shown in this photo.
To further confirm the size of this creature I climbed up and plucked several
leaves from the very same branch that the creature passed in front of and
photographed them with a measure in front for reference as seen in this photo.
Finally
I placed my son at the spot where the tripod was located and photographed
him. The Rainbow Rod passed by the area over his head as pointed out by the
arrow as shown here in this shot.
The conclusions we can draw from all this work is that the creature photographed
here was 10 to 12 inches in length, traveling very fast, perhaps close to
100 mph. I base this last assumption on the evidence collected by Jose Escamilla
where he had the data analyzed of the rod that was photographed in Mexico
in 1994. It was estimated that the creature filmed there was traveling 94
mph. So I must admit I did not calculate the speed of this creature and my
estimate of its speed is little better then an educated guess.
The creature was not visible to the naked eye and only appeared in one frame
of the film on each pass it made, so I would imagine the slowest it could
have been traveling would have been 50 mph. I plan to do some experiments
in the near future that will enable me to better calculate the speed of these
creatures. I would encourage anyone photographing rods to take a few moments
and document the distances involved, the magnification used while filming
and such details as the wind speed, temp, etc.
This will go a long way in helping researchers collect hard data on these
creatures. The time has come for us to do more then just amass a hard drive
full of we need to use some investigative skills to better understand these
enigmatic creatures.
